new to geese

hi I been wanting to get some geese I have 6 ducks they will be for eggs. I am interested in the American blue or lavender. how are they for meat production. I am planning on getting a adult pair in the fall so I might get eggs for the spring,also how well do they get along with ducks. my drakes think they own the place. thanks for any input.

Some people raise ducks and geese together and some aren't successful. I think if your drakes are bossy then throwing geese in the mix wouldn't help the situation.
As for meat production I don't know about the lavenders and blues, if they are over 15 pounds full grown they'll be a nice dinner!

thanks carrosaur I have another pen that is going to be for the geese. If I want geese for meat should I look at the heavy breeds do you have any suggestion ?

If you're looking for meet I suggest Production Toulouse geese, Emden geese- they weigh up to 30 pounds.
