New to hatching my own duck eggs.

I incubated 6 eggs. 5 didn't make it past 1st week. 1 made it to week 3 but I ended up in the hospital and I lost it. I am in a trailer and room temp is very inconsistent. I think that played a major role as to why only 1 was doing well. I'm gonna get a better incubator that isn't as sensitive to room temperature and can self regulate much better. I also bought 2 thermometers/ hydrometer combos. I found that the incubator thermometer is running about 4 degrees high and the hydrometer is off about 15.

I just ordered the 2200 model and from what I've been told, the thermometer is not very accurate. I'm hoping for the best and buying a back up!!!

Good luck. Thermometer is definitely not accurate. I agree with getting a back up.
