New to having chickens

They seem to be getting easier to find, but I don't know about your area. We have a breeder in Goodman and one in Springfield MO, and one near Tulsa near me. You might check on craigslist near you, some of our local hatchries have then, or a breeders registry. Pretty and friendly makes them a hit with me.

I've heard Orps are friendly but haven't had any myself. The friendliest chickens I have are the Red Sex Links and the Speckled Sussex. The sex links (black or red) are egg laying machines.
