Hello I'm New here. I have 8 hens so far. I have a sapphire gem, silver wyandotte, cream legbar, easter egger, turken,2 lavender orpingtons, and 1 houdan. I'm learning as I go and I love my chickens even if the oldest one don't live me. I got my oldest hens as adults I wanted to make sure I would enjoy the commitment of adults before I got attached to babies. I've dealt with mites, bumblefoot and unfortunately prolapsed vent. Right now my houdan Baldy( affectionately named after she burned herself bald on the brooder plate) has a vitamin defiance that's made her toes curl to the left. But my main concern is my turken girl Kenny she has this little raised lump I'm thinking she scratched herself and irritated it but I'm not completely sure. Trigger warning there is small blood amount.
