(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
The entertainment they give while they're little. Their behaviors and reactions to different things. Being able to give them the best life possible while recieving the most delicious eggs from them. Overall, having these animals is an amazing experience for my family. Especially my three year old who loves playing with all of the chicks, poults, and ducklings.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening is a huge hobby of mine that I just got into really this year. As well as learning how to build different things that our little homestead needs.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have an adorable three year old who loves to be outside with us when taking care of the animals. A wonderful, hardworking husband who makes all my projects come to life haha. We have 2 German Shepherds, Dovah and Kiaydei. 2 cats, one inside and one feral. Inside cat is Marlow and feral cat is Rahja (also known as tiny.) 4 Goats. 2 Nubian/ Nigerian mixes and 2 Saanen/Nigerian mixes. 2 Silver fox rabbits. Our doe is Onyx. Our buck is Cobalt.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?

The day we got our BB turkeys and Silver Appleyard ducks. We unfortunately lost the male, yesterday. The one with the orange spot above it's bill was the male. I separated them when I got them. They were all together at first.

Some of our 10 chicks we hatched in the incubator. 10/13. This was our first try at incubating and personally feel we did extremely well. Two eggs were unfertilized and one died before it was able to hatch.
