New to incubating pekins

We have 2 females that lay 1 egg each per day. Males are very frequent with them so we believe the eggs are all fertile. I've read you should bring the eggs to room temp before placing in the incubator. I have a few questions I haven't found answers to:
1. How long can they sit before starting to incubate? I'd like to get at least 12 eggs in.
2. My incubator is the farm innovator 4250 with heater and egg turner, do I still need to mist the eggs? Humidity is holding steady between 50-55.

1. How long can they sit before starting to incubate? I'd like to get at least 12 eggs in.

If the eggs are setting are room temperature, they won't incubate. Until you set them in the incubator keep them in a cool room temperature area and turn each one a bit every day or two.

Misting is not needed to hatch duck eggs. Humdity is a variable factor, but on a general basis keeping it around 40% for the first 25 days, then up it to 70% during lockdown tends to do well.

Day 8. Out of 11, I believe we have 6 good ones. I’m going to wait until day 10 and try the others again.

I was curious about that. I’m assuming that means it’s not viable.

Unfortunately not, it’s a sign that an embryo died and the ring is caused by bacteria
