Hi, my name is Kara. Recently we've brought home 11 chicks. Already have 8 horses, a donkey, 7 parrots, 4 dogs, and two cats, so why the heck not some chickens? lol!

Still workin on getting the ok to bring home a goat and some pigs.

Anyways, I'm possibly looking into raising my own meat rabbits, perhaps showing some chickens, doing all the 4H kind of things I missed growing up on Florida's east coast, glad to finally be home in the country where i've always belonged!

Welcome to BYC, Kara. Glad you decided join to our flock. I love the animals in your avatar.) Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.

I'm really hoping to find out what our black/yellow chicks are :)

The majority are just the TSC chicks, were told 3 were buff pullets and the other three were about a week old so itty bit and unknown. Not sure i trust them at all on those 3 that were "certainly" pullets xD but we'll see. Interesting how three of them have the brown striping down their backs.

my silkies and serama are my favorites though :) wish i knew for certain THEY were pullets, atleast.
