New to poultry and waterfowl.

Hi there!

We have 27 red sex links and some new unidentified ducklings. In may we will be getting our lavender orpingtons delivered. We are very new to backyard chickens and hoping to learn a lot here!
Welcome. Very beautiful pictures. Thank you. @007Sean is correct.

Howdy, :frow and Welcome to Backyard Chickens.

Happy :ya to have you here with us. Enjoy your time here at BYC!

I hope your not brooding the chick's with the ducks, they should be in a separate brooder. Ducks are very dirty birds, they get water everywhere, along with poop, too! ....the chick's would get wet with water and poop and possibly get chilled.

Thanks for joining our community! :celebrate
Thank you for the info! They are in the same 8'x 5' brooder, but they are separated by a board and have their own food, water, living areas, and heat lamps. I know they have different needs and want to keep everyone healthy and happy. 😀
