New to raising chickens in the heart of Miami fl.

looking for the best layer feed I can give my chickens. They are currently eating Nutrena naturewise chick starter crumbles medicated 18% protein.

What do you all recommend. I have 11 chickens.

Hello and welcome to BYC! Glad you joined.

My chickens are about 12 weeks old already. What should I switch them too.

Just switch to non-medicated when you buy your next bag and you don't ever have to change what you feed them.
When they are 18 weeks or so, put out a container or two of oyster shell for free feeding and they're all set.
The oldest members of my flock are over 6 years old and none of them have ever eaten layer feed.

I would add: always check the manufacturing date on your feed. After 90 days it starts to lose nutrients and after 6mo it should be disposed of.

Wasn’t aware of this. Is this common for all brands of feed
