I got my first batch of chicks in May. Out of 5 I have 2 hens and 3 roosters...not by choice, that's just how it is. I decided I most likely have fertile eggs so I hatched out 6 more. Seems to be going well I do think one was injured during hatching they are 3 days old and that one is still with us but very small and scoots rather that hop or walk. I also lost an original rooster due to a mysterious illness. All in all I quite enjoy this new venture.

Hiya, and welcome to BYC!! :frow You can learn so much here! We're glad to see you!

Congrats on the hatch and new chicks! Do you have pictures? Especially of the one that scoots. I'm suspicious it might have splayed legs.
