I got my first batch of chicks in May. Out of 5 I have 2 hens and 3 roosters...not by choice, that's just how it is. I decided I most likely have fertile eggs so I hatched out 6 more. Seems to be going well I do think one was injured during hatching they are 3 days old and that one is still with us but very small and scoots rather that hop or walk. I also lost an original rooster due to a mysterious illness. All in all I quite enjoy this new venture.
