New to raising ducks

We have 10 ducks....5 drakes and 5 hens. We are getting rid of a few this weekend and will either separate all but 2 drakes during breeding season or allow them go get butchered. Just want to make sure hens arent
being drowned or over bred.

Hi, chiming in because I have an opportunity to get some mallards. I thought mallards mate 1:1? Can I do with 1 male and 1 female? Or, would I need multiple females?
We live next to a giant park with lots of predators, so all are birds are in mesh cages (ducks would be on ground obviously with a mesh floor). How much space do they need per bird?
Do they have to eat a special food?

We raise Cots and chickens, but ducks would be completely new.

We too have two Mallard hens who can fly. I was also looking for some type of nesting box ideas for them and I thought this was a cool and simplistic option.

I built one of those for my Mallards, but they never used it.. mine prefer to nest three miles down the creek in a mud lined raccoon, mink, snapping turtle infested area.

Will drakes breed with the hens all year round? Like a rooster with a hen

About the same a Chickens, they mate A LOT more in the spring/summer, but will still mate year-round just not as much.
