Another option to feed ducklings is an all flock crumble. Purina's is called Flock Raiser or Kalmbach's is called Flock maker. Both products have 20% protein. I personally have not needed additional niacin added to these products. My ducklings also have access to free ranging.

I've always used Purina duck feed, getting crumbles for the ducklings. It is formulated with additional niacin and I've never needed to provide additional sources of niacin for my runners. I get pellets for the adults and provide oyster shells when the ducks start laying. They also free range and supplement with whatever goodies they are finding in the grass and gardens.
