My husband thanks you for the compliment No my chickens are not laying yet they hatched out in March. Question though, they are locked in the coop at night and let out around 5:30 a.m. then they are free range, will they go back to the coop to lay eggs or will I have to go hunting for eggs? Open to suggestions please. Not sure what the difference of an EE and an Ameraucana, we were told they were the later but love them just the same.

Yes Madi99 one of the chicks had blue food coloring on her, lol, our daughter and her boyfriend did that for Easter. She has long since grown out of that. I am wondering though what those 2 chickens really are? We were told when we got them that they were Golden Laced Wyandottes but now not sure what they are? Really loving this board I have needed to talk chicken but my friends think I'm crazy lol!

I remember when my babies fell off the roost at night. Scared me too! And I agree taking pictures of chickens is like herding cats.
