Hello all BYC members, I am new to chickens but ran upon your website 6 months ago when we decided to get some backyard chickens. Through the whole process of designing our coop all the way till now this website has remained my main source for all things chicken. It is the best website on the web for learning everything you need to know. So I have finally decided to become a member. Our birds are 5 months old now and doing great!!! However the questions never seem to end. I love to read all the educational feeds and also the ones that are just for fun. I am glad to be a member of your elustrious group!!

As you've discovered, some of BYC isn't all about How Tos, or recommendations, or purely information - a great portion of BYC is simply the Community connection to other like-minded (and often very silly) folks. There are understanding, reassuring and challenging threads which keep me noodling around on BYC at all hours of the day. Some of my best friends are people I have never even met in person.
