New to the group, and here's my first question!! Are the old enough to not need a heat lamp?

The pine shavings in a bag sold as animal bedding have been kiln dried. It is a very important thing to know.
Also using pine shavings is important. Some types of wood have natural pesticide residues that can kill chicks. Cedar is hard on the tiny lungs of even adult birds. I forget what exactly it is with black walnut but remember it is bad.

Your chicks look to be more like 10 days. They will need extra heat until they are mostly feathered out if it isn't warm enough out. Mine go outside during the day if it's 80 degrees out, but get the heat lamp at night if the shed is cooler than what I am currently brooding them at. Yours need about 80 degree.

thats what i thought, they do NOT look 10 weeks old, these chicks here are almost 6 weeks old
