Good Afternoon, I wanted to introduce myself.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I have had had chickens for the majority of my life.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I have about 15
(3) What breeds do you have? Currently I have bantam and full sized cochins, wyandottes, and a sultan
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? I love each chickens personality, maybe except our jerk of a rooster. I also love that they provide us eggs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I ride horses and I in the future hopefully wil be showing my puppy in obedience and other competitions.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I am still living at home with my parents. I have 2 horses and a 5 month Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppy. I am a licensed massage therapist and I am certified Equine sports massage therapist and I am working on my canine massage certification. I am also trying to figure out how to start my own massage therapy practice. In my spare time I teach a puppy Kindergarten obedience class on a volunteer basis and I am a CGC evaluator.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? I have heard about BYC thru several friends and I joined because I wanted to pick others brains about the possibility of owning and raising Call ducks.
