Hello-

Husband & I are trying chickens, we have 8 Easter Egg Chickens, because why not have fun colored eggs? They were born on 03/31/15 and I am confident in my hens but these 4 look like roosters and I would like to be sure....there seems like a whole heap of crowing in my backyard! ;-)

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

The pictures are a bit blurry. They all might be roosters. The white one MIGHT be a hen but, again, the pic is blurry. They are definitely Easter Eggers.

I agree with Mountain Peeps, the pictures arenot real clear except for the white which I think is a hen. The others seem to be roosters. Sorry. You can also post photos at "what breed or gender is this." It helps to know how old they are in the pictures.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. I agree with RavynFallen; with combs and wattles that large and red at 3 months, they are all Easter Egger cockerels. Sorry. :o( Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in figuring out what to do with your excess cockerels.

Thanks! We are not sure yet what we are going to do with the roosters. We are hopeful for a trade from a local guy we know that just raises chicks in the spring and returns to a local school in the Fall. I don't know what kind he has, or if he would even be willing. There is a lot of pecking and fighting already in our coop, overall its a disappointment after the Hatchery we ordered from we feel let us down. We only should have received 2 maximum out of 15 (split with a good friend). Overall there were 6 roosters, I have 4 , she has 2. We will be contacting them too but wanted some valid input prior as we are so very new to chickens.

It has been so fun, they are hysterical to watch!
