We are first-time poultry raisers and after a year or so we think it's been a great decision and we're having lots of fun. Only real problem so far is some broodiness in two of our 15 hens. Hi from San Diego!! I'm also a first time flock owner. Mine haven't even started laying. In fact, today I'm building nest boxes because I can see they're going to pop any time now!!
