Hello and welcome to BYC.

Coturnix or Bobwhite? Or other? Have you any questions?
Jap quails and California eggs. Looking to get bobwhite soon.

Got 12 California eggs and put into incubator. 7 eggs where unfertil. 3 had been in incubator before I got eggs as I found chicks inside at 7 day candles and 2 are normal.

How do you know if you don't have a date on eggs when to move from turner to hat her in incubator?

Have you ever candled your eggs? When the mass mostly fills the shell (except for the airspace), and there's only a slight amount of light showing around the embryo, your eggs are almost ready to hatch.

These images are of a chicken egg, I believe, but the basic principle holds true:

Just started. First time with incubator. They are California Quail eggs I don't have a date for. They are dark now with only air space showing. But the date I put them into incubator they have 1 1/2 weeks to go. Here is photo of 2 eggs put into incubator at the same time.
