New to this, What breed of meat chicken should I get?

I am raising red broilers from Ideal. So far only losses are from my errors. They are 6 weeks old, very lively and healthy. They grow much slower than the CX but they act more like DP chickens. I expect to butcher around 12 weeks.

I got my Meyer catalog today - they are the ones that offered rangers, they call them "Rainbow Ranger Broilers" and they come in three colors. I think I'll get those when we have more space to let them roam. For now the CX make more sense. Good luck with your chickens!
