New to Turkeys... Please help me with this question.

Merry Christmas. Hope everyone had an amazing holiday.

I need help with something. Back in late summer I purchased 2 chocolate hens under the assumption that the seller would soon have a Chocolate Tom. She didnt have one, but instead said she had a Bronze barred. Are they compatible for breeding, and what am I going to end up with? I originally just wanted Royal Palms, but I went to a poultry swap and the babies were so cute, I just took them. Suggestions and input on the breed would also be appreciated.

If the tom doesn't carry chocolate, half the offspring will be black and half will be barred black. The males will carry chocolate.

All domestic turkeys are the breed turkey. They are all compatible breeding partners although the broad breasted varieties are commercially bred via artifical insemination.

So just like Chickens then... I was worried that there may be a size difference that might interfere with breeding. Thank you!

The size difference is why they use artificial insemination for the broad breasted ones.

In some chickens they have found lethal genes which can cause very poor hatch rates. I am not aware of lethal genes in turkeys.
