Yep, crickets are a favorite treat! I get mine at the pet store, too. Last winter, I gave them some during a real cold spell (in the teens) and the crickets got so cold by the time they hit the ground that they didn't really even hop! Next time I knew to sprinkle them over a bigger area, because a few hens got all of them that first time!

I made my girls flock blosk yesterday and didnt get it out there until late last night.. Sadly I doubt they can even find it now with 4 inches of snow...
