Announcement New Trophy Point Levels

What's the difference between points and trophies? I don't get it . I was a flock master with almost 3,000 points and nine eggs in the old system. then I moved to the new system and I have about 471 trophies in the new system. okay so now do I lose my flock Master status? they honored it when they brought me into the new system. what's the difference between trophies and points ? are points like Ovations and trophies trophies? I'm confused.
so what am I now? ask and by the way how does somebody get 2250 trophies?
I do note that the vast majority of people excited about this are people with a bazillion badges after their name.
How is anyone supposed to make any meaningful advance when trophy points only Advance 10 points of time and seem to be quite far apart on on the attainment scale as far as number of posts or whatever to achieve each clump of 10 points.

I like the old ones better.
 
Me too, Button quail.
There were 8 levels, now there are 16 that seem to stretch out to infinity.
I think the new levels beyond 600 were created for the super Achievers so they have something else to Aspire too.
For the rest of us, frankly for me, it's discouraging.
Kind of reminds me of the AKC Dog Club where they had Champion dogs. well then people got tired of just Champion they wanted more for their money . so they created bronze, silver, gold level Grand Champions. okay so now the overachievers had something else to Aspire to for their money.
I'm never going to be that kind of great overachiever so I'm just going to enjoy byc for what it is. a good place to get together and talk chickens.

I agree! I frankly like being chicken obsessed more than "crowing" I wouldn't mind higher levels as much if it didn't make my rank sound so dumb! I guess I will just have to forget about ranks.
