New turkeys to my flock!

When I got my first batch of turkey poults, they seemed sooo 'noisy'. Then we realized it was only whenever they saw us they were noisy -- they were "calling" to us. Once we let them free-range whenever they saw us they would all come running over and want to hang around, sit on our lap, roost on our arms, etc. So that is what people mean when they say turkeys are more friendly. It's quite fun. that is, until you are busy, and the turkeys are underfoot always curious what you're doing.

Got them on high protein and I did get a bag of grit but don't know when to start them on the grit?

heck they don't even want me to have my chickens.

That is so sad that they won't let you have what you want. Sounds like you could use all the extra eggs? LOL

Sratliff, you are so lucky to live close to Sharon and Steve and for them to do that for you!!
Annie, I don't think they are as loud as chicks. But you are right they will call to you. LOL

Just to let you know I just started GQF Sportsman #2 up yesterday, There are some chicks hatching in #1 and there are another batch of 96 quail due to stop turning today so we needed the extra hatcher.

Anyway.... That leaves 6 open trays for your turkey eggs! How about a tray of each breed?
