Baby is officially 2 weeks old today (I think)! So I thought I'd add some more photos.
Here are most of the babies with their Grandmother, Matilda (who is a great baby sitter but a great one for hatching only one chick at a time)!
At the moment it looks like the wild chicks do, just a much lighter shade of brown so it will be interesting to see how it ends up. The cinnamons start out so light and end up very dark so only time will tell.
The other three like this are a week old today and have just been moved to a proper cage with their two siblings. Three immediately squeezed out the bars (climbing up the vertical plastic sides of the deep base that's on the cage
) and were running round the house! So that was fun. The cage sides are now wrapped in a sheet. But surely they can't all be girls so hopefully I'll be able to see what a hen and cock look like.
