Another update ~

The little guy on the right in the picture is starting to get really active. I
am supprised to see how fast he 'recovered' from the coldness. He's

still very weak, but He's jumping around quite a bit. The chick on the

left in the picture is also alive, despite me just 'knowing' he was dead.

He is breathing also, but he's going at a slow rate. The third chick didn't

even pip, yet jerked his head back when I touched him, so I'm still waiting

on him to come around or not.

All three are alive, and are rather active, and now I have one of my eggs I had in the incubator

since late april is moving

I had a broody hatch out a couple days ago. got off the next yesterday and left a wet chick and some eggs. I tossed them all in the bator, chick only barely moved when I touched it and was freezing. I thought it died on my way into the house. I put it in the brooder and took it out, rubbed it, put it back. It started gasping and is now fine. So are the rest of the eggs, just a few days behind. Hope they do well for you

Alright so a bit of bad news ~

The chick on the right seems to have somthing wrong with his beak.

The bottom part of the beak seems to be longer than the top. Not by much,

you can hardly tell the difference, but is this common?

I had a nightmare two nights ago that I had chicks with a deformity.

I hope this doesn't get worse as he ages. Alls I can see is the tip of his

beak...I hope he doesn't have anything else wrong with him. Poor babies,

they've been through so much! Almost died at 7 days in the 'bator due to

loosing power, nearly froze to death, shrink wrapped, and now this little

trooper has crooked beak! Oh dear.
