New urban farm stead

My husband and i have always wanted to have a small farmstead and this year we were able to add chickens to our lovely garden !
This is our first time owning chickens, but we've raised parakeets and other birds before.
We currently have 11in our small flock 5 Easter Eggers, 3 black sex links and 3 silkies.

So far we're really enjoying watching them grow, oldest ones we have are our Easters which will 4 weeks old tomorrow, our little black sex links will be 2 weeks old Saturday and the silkies are a week old Thursday.
Some of my other hobbies include gardening, cross stitch and photography, and
My husband and I also own a little pet store that specializes in reptiles and their care and we have a little boy who is absolutely in love with our little chicks

I found BYC just by looking for some forums on caring for chicks and common ailments ect. I joined so I can learn more and raise happy healthy chickens

Awe what a cutie. You will have so much fun with these guys. Being an animal lover helps when they peck you or fly up to surprise you! You will do well and their unique personalities! We also have gardeners here. Welcome.
