I’m a new duck mom as of 2 weeks ago! I have three two week old ducklings and three one week old ducklings. I got them from tractor supply and I’ve been getting a crash course on raising them. Unsure of there sex or breed but as of now we’ve named 3 out of six. The yellow is Mustard, the tan is Waffles, and the dark one is Gunther. They love mealworms, apples, and kale. The younger babies love swimming in the bath while the older three are too busy cleaning themselves up. We are working on our duck coop which is essentially an old shed with a fence around it at the moment. Tomorrow we will be getting them a larger and improved brooder which I’m sure they’ll be very excited about. I’m a nervous mom and would love every tip and truck about my new children. I live in a small town in northern WI and am worried about chilly temps and predators. My fiancé and I have been doing a lot of research on ducks since we got them but we’d love any input anyone can give us. Here are some pics of my babies and their future coop!

Welcome to BYC! Cute ducklings!

Look's like you have four Rouens, one Pekin and one Appleyard/Golden 300 male, If you get a picture of his feet I might be able to tell.

Unless you vent sex, you'll have to wait till they are around 4-8 weeks and voice sex them, females will go peep, peep, QUACK , while the males when young will make whistling noises as well as peeping, once they get even older they start to sound like a bad smoker. Fill free to post on the duck forums, we'd be glad to answer anymore questions you have!
