New Year Block swap

So here is a funny one--

Yesterday I was worried about being behind on winterizing as snow or sleet is forecast, & I calmed myself down by looking online at quilt blocks trying to pick what to do for the baby quilt I have pending as well as this quilt, then I went to bed. Here is the dream I had:

I went up the hill to my main chicken pens to finish getting them ready for winter & I was greeted by all my hens who happily showed me a huge stack of identical quilt blocks they had sewn for me to try to help me out since I was running behind (& they felt bad since they haven't even been laying eggs lately) but instead of being happy about this, I saw the stack and was "Oh NO! This is terrible , because you hens have sewn _the *wrong* block_ !!


Soooo, maybe I'm over thinking the quilt block selection just a tiny bit, you think ??!! ;P

PS: As to winterizing, <sigh> lets just say the DH & I put a big heavy tarp over the to be repaired wall which he _finally_ picked up the materials for yesterday,
and which it was not possible to rebuild today in the 30 mph wind w/ intermitent sleet, soo the birds will be fine and the project is delayed until some upcoming nice day which I'm sure I'd rather spend doing something more fun but which will be spent rebuilding the coop, unless the hens get to it for us first ;>

FeyRaine - What a funny dream! It is amazing what our minds come up with when we are asleep and sometimes the dreams seem so real. A good reason not to go to bed mad, I think.

I agree on some of them seeming sooo real, I have woke up w/ my husband in trouble more then once from something he "did" in my dream!!!! lol lol lol

I too have woken up mad at my husband from a dream, lol well FeyRaine was the block pretty? OK BYC is acting up again so I will talk to you ladies later when the bugs freeze and die.

~~Sometimes even I am amazed at the sheer level my masochism can reach!!!!! You guys know I'm attempting the Doctor Who quilt squares, well do I start w/ an easy one ............................................ why of course not!!!!!! I start w/ the Citadel on Gallifrey, all 19 sections containing anywhere from 5-12 pieces in each section. (this is for a 12 inch square) Does it stop there, am I content w/ average masochism, NO. You see the city is in a bubble, so I get this bright idea that my city must have the bubble represented in it.(which is not in the pattern) So now trying to figure out how to achieve the bubble, then since bubbles are circular they must intersect at and through several individual groups of pieces at just the right spot and angle!!!!!! Since this is paper piecing I am doing this on the back side of the paper and in mirror (reverse) image!!!!!

Maybe you could embellish with the bubble in metallic thread afterwards, would be delicate and ethereal ....

I have Gallifrey in little pieces all over my coffee table, and what does my cat do, jumps dead center, sending pieces of Gallifrey flying all over the room, I ducked behind the sofa just in case he was a Daalek in disquise!!!!!

When the coast was clear I picked up all the scattered pieces, now I am going to take my chickens some bugs to eat, give my confused befuddled brain a break and see if I can regroup and finish Gallifrey tonight.
