New Year Block swap

I got inspired by batiks too.. costume drama nearly done, cant wait to shop, I have my block in my head for now. Feeling really happy now I know my colour way.

How are everyone and their chickens doing in the sub zero temps? Our high today was 17 and last night -4 .Burrrrrrrr...
No wind here though so windchill thank goodness.

In North Georgia we are at 47 for tonight and 51 tomorrow for the day, then we go to mid 40's for highs and 28 at night for the next couple of nights so to us we are really cold the girls are doing good and so are my chicks which are about 2.5 months old but still have a heat source for them. I worry with the rain that the girls will get wet and chilled, but they always seem to do good.

I'm not even sure we made it to 0* today. Getting tired of this kind of cold - the kind we get in January/February. Its going to be a very long winter!

I am such a pansy when it comes to the cold. I just want to stay inside curled up toasty warm, I have a saying if I were a bear I'd be in my nice warm den for the winter. those lucky bears. I was busy today and it was raining so hard I didn't even get out to get my eggs.

The running joke in our house is that I live my life at 24 degrees, light the fire..of course thats centigrade

I am frozen solid!!!!!! I HATE all things winter to the bottom of my frozen little toes!!!!!! I think anything below 50 F is to cold for human habitation and inhumane!!!!!! And it is in the single digets!!!!!!!! We have snow and ice everywhere I am not a happy camper about the weather at all. My chickens aren't excited either (or dogs or cat for that matter) everyone is hibernating and waiting it out. I just finished a 72 hour shift in this horrible weather, and the last 24 hours w/ a raging sinus infection (well had the infection all along but it started acting up really bad for the last 24 hrs) I had rolls of toilet paper stashed all over the ambulance!!!! lol lol lol

I had to figure out what that was in Fahrenheit and that is a perfect temp (75). My husband says that when I die and where I go it's cold I'm not in heaven
