New Year Block swap

I don't think the orange/yellow FQ I picked up for the background for my tree will work so maybe a sun, wow went from something really simple to getting complex oh well

@Kassaundra you're going to laugh, you have "sonic screwdrivers are cool" well I thought you meant the fast food restaurant,

I need to watch tv more, I will say my dad loved this series.

~~Any of you ladies doing the cross "The Pond" mailing, when I went to the PO today it makes a big diff if your envelope is considered flat, The 6x9 padded envelope, w/ a once folded over mug rug fits the "flat" criteria.

Well my tree at this point is dead, I lost my pattern on the computer and let just say I have to start over, oh well should have left it alone.

RustyHen how is your tree?

I've nearly finished my tree! I've done the one on the pattern, figure I can knock another one out at the end if I can't live with "the" tree! Think I'm not putting the decorations on but will add beads and buttons later.

I thought the pic you posted was of fabric? Was it a computer rendition?

No what I posted was fabric but it just didn't work and now I'm working on another one, just one of those things where you get it put together and you mess up one thing and you can't take it apart, wow don't know what button I just hit but my post I typed is almost gone, life is so much fun

My DH who had to deliver to Chicago area finally made it. Yesterday he said it took him 6 hours to drive 166 miles and the wrecks and the big trucks that were on the side of the road was something out of the walking dead scenes. He was told that 12 truckers who wrecked along that stretch of highway lost their lives, they froze to death, they couldn't call for help no cell service and the trucks were inoperable. Those truckers are the ones who think that when they close a road it is for everyone else hard way to learn a lesson.

My girls came through fine lost 2 chicks day before yesterday and it wasn't as cold as the day before they must have been weakened, but I think one was a causality of a pile up and my bannie roos that refuse to go into the house have frost bite and I now notice one roo is in the house tonight, they like to roost in the trees but the combs are purple so I'm guessing they didn't get frost bite too bad or is that the color before it turns black?
