I set 7, candled them last night and all look like they're developing well. I'll candle them again on tuesday or wednesday

As it would have it Mochicken, Im not gonna have to "build" my own pens any more. I have my boyfriend interested and he is going to make me runs, (going to make him use his union carpenter skills at home lol )so i should be able to have as many as i want, like you, there are MANY people around here that are interested in buying the birds. As long as they don't flood us again this year, i should be ok with the runs, over the summer tho, i had almost 4 feet of water in my basement, so that would definitely drown the birds

bfrancis I'm with you! A little late but better than nothing.

I set 12 Button eggs this evening and tomorrow I will set the Coturnix.

These are my own eggs gathered over 10 days.
It's the first I'm trying to hatch the button. I have no idea if they are fertile or not.
Tomorrow I will open one to see, now that I'm done gathering for awhile , the rest are snacks for us. lol.

I did forget to turn them in the 10 days, so i'm not sure how the hatch will go.

Time will tell..
