New Year's food around the world

Yep, we do collard greens and black-eyed peas here. The peas are supposed to be “coins” and the greens are like “dollars”. Also, it’s just what grows around here this time of year.

Being German, we eat pork and sauerkraut with mashed potatoes on New Year's Day. Brings good luck for the new year

This is our family's thing. I will not be continuing the tradition, as I do not eat either. But I do think of it as traditional New Year's Day fare.

me and my mom and twin brother normally make corndogs lol. we just batter hot dogs and cook them in some oil. basically diabetes on a popsicle stick but I mean once in a while is fine right?
