oops, I'm actually due the 2nd. I said 3rd in my other post.

Anyways, I candled and took out the turner, and upped the humdity tonight. ALL my chickies are alive. So I still have:

4 golden laced cochins- bantam
6 b/b/s cochins- bantam
3 Seremas
9 true Americanas - standard

Good morning all you happy hatchers! New years babies...HA. Mine want to come out so they can ring in the new year. They are due the 1st. So far,yesterday 2 EE hatched.....several more pipping! I can tell now, this bunch will be some rebelrousers. LOL Come on babies hatch hatch!!

I woke up this morning to five total pips (that I can see) and lots and lots of cheeping.

I have three hatched out, and two more with pips.
Here is the first born:

And this little one is out of one of my brown eggs, but it looks like its cheeks are poofy like my EE's. My other mystery egg that hatched is kind of colored similar but doesn't have the cheekies.

ok I hate to even antisipate a "hatching" for fear of jinxing anything or just being very disappointed & frankly I'd be happy to see *anything hatch* because 1. I've never even tried this before. 2. my eggs where shipped *in a freezing cold ice storm* that took longer than I thought it would* & then I'm using a still air blah blah blah & don't know

what I'm doing.

However I feel I can no longer go on not admitting (or hiding from the fact)

that I've 15 Blue Laced Red Wyandotte eggs in the incubator that according to a calendar are suppose to hatch on Jan 3rd or that's 21 days. It would be tonight that I would turn them for the last time & then I imagine Sat. night would be peep time. I'm trying not to be excited etc. but it's getting tough now. LOL And I at least had to admit that yes it's New Years weekend & I've a hatch that is suppose to take place & of course tonight I'm setting it up to not touch for the the next few days? going to be tough. LOL And so with just a few days left now I'll cross my fingers for something good.

oh & btw I don't know what I was seeing when I candled but I could swear I've seen 1 or more jiggle ever so slightly at one time or another the past night or so.
