I keep looking into the bator every 5-10minute just hoping to see a pip starts. They are leghorn eggs.

ah hah I see so ok maybe no wine then but maybe have a few friends over and have a waiting party on New Years eve? or New Years day even. Anything to take your mind off for a while & to help keep you relaxed.

Today is day 27 (for turkeys) 20 (for chickens). Last night one turkey hatched and today the 2 chickens hatched , waiting on the other 3 turkeys, although I am not hearing anything coming from the eggs, But tomorrow is day 28 so I hope for 1 or more to hatch.

Update here: 5 out (three EEs, 2 BAs), none currently zipping, about six or seven are pipped. It's getting hard to keep track because the ones that have hatched have knocked the others all over the 'bator.

ETA: I also must say, it is really interesting how the newly hatched ones do everything they can to get to a zipping chick. The last two that hatched, the others were all crowded around peeping away and pecking at the openings, almost like they were cheering the new chick on.

OH MY GOD!~!~!~! I have a pipper!

!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just went in and looked and the shell is barely cracked. None of it is chipped off yet but something is trying to get out!
