New York mini chickenstock 2016

Welsummers lay a beautiful brown, speckledy egg :)
The egg color doesn't matter to me so much but I am sure my parents would love that! Pops wasn't too keen on chickens at first and says he still isn't....but I've seen him make cluck-cluck noises at them. They'll win him over.

Chicken girl, just to confirm, we are two adults and two kids. We'll be bringing hamburgers, buns, cheese and mayo for the potluck, veggie plants to sell.

oh you have young pullets. yeah the welsummer boys think they are all that not sure how he'd be with young girls.

could always do a slow integration. Make a small coop inside the big one so they can visit without contact. Then after a while do supervised visits .
lemme think about how to do this (if I can), have lots of down time at work. He's beautiful!...but not sure about how well that will work. Need more coffee for this, lol!

@Gramma Chick

Hope all those chicks aren't packing peanuts the hatcheries send (roosters!) There should be some pullets in there too. :)

The Swedish Flower hens I'm thinking $25 each, since day-olds go for $12 - $15 each (from other breeders in NY).

The Catskill Homesteader pullets - $8 each.

I know someone looking for hens. I will run this by them and see if they are interested.

I have a silver laced Wyandotte cockerel from Easter Hatch (almost 9 weeks). Broody raised, so he isn't very tame. He has a small straight comb, which is not correct for Wyandottes.
