New York State Six Chicken Law?

I'm guessing you mean Nature Berry Farms. They are just around the corner from me. If not, you may want to look them up.
Or Country Max stores are now accepting orders. You need to pay the $2.50X6, but they will let you take less. Just bring a heating pad with you when you pick them up and they'll be fine.

I was shocked when my local feed store told me this also. I only wanted four chicks, but I ended up getting six any ways, soon to be eight when my son get his chicks from ex-FIL.

I live in the Hornell area, I was looking into possibly getting more, and more than willing to share an order.

You might need to check the department of agriculture for the state of New York.

Frequently what gets quoted as being the law turns out to be a rule promulgated under the law, in New York for chicken sales that power rest with the Department of Agriculture.

I've seen this law enforced at TSC as well as my local feed store. Is this also enforceable via online hatchery purchases?

We're not looking to expand the flock now but in the future we might use My Pet Chicken to get a few chicks....

It was the same here in South Carolina... I only purchased a few chicks at TSC... by my second trip to the chick bins, they had stopped enforcing it...
