Hello, my name is Kathy I live in Central Alberta Canada. I’ve been reading posts from BYC for years getting ready for the day I would have some chickens I could name , dote on and not eat. I am 47 , married 28 years and have a 25 year old son and a 22 year old daughter and a 7 month old grandson. We have 3 dogs , a shop cat and 13 chickens. A Maran rooster, 3 svart honas, two olive eggers .. which are Maran CCL crosses, 5 CCL , an Opal Legbar and a silverrudd blue isbar. All pullets . We have had rustic ranger meat birds before and plan on getting 3 pigs in the spring and meat birds again. We live on 8 acres but we have two sloughs and a dugout so we have quite a bit of water .. which is a double edged sword 😁. Nice meeting you all!
