Newb here delving into the world of chickens

Hello BYCers. This is my first post here and my first venture into the world of chickens. I live in an urban area forty miles north of San Francisco and I am planning on building a coop this winter/spring and bringing home my first brood around May. I have collected most of the material from freinds and neighbors and I think I will have a coop worthy of posting in the uglyist coop thread.

I have been reading posts for last couple of hrs and think I will find all of the info I need (and probably some I don't) in this forum and I look forward to becoming part of the community.
