Not sure how old a rooster has to be, but I'm sure someone here will answer.

I would buy an incubator. Until you have an idea of just how they work. From what I hear, once you get one incubator, one is never enough LOL. You could built a second one once you get the hang of the store bought one. You can find them at farm stores for about $50. Mine's a hovabator. Little Giants are about the same, i think.

Do you have your big and little chickens in the same pen?

there in the same pen they all get along i reckon its too big for them to bother each other 12by 40 3 houses one has one nest the other has 2 and the other has 5 thinking about adding on still or build another one so i can have a couple of roosters

That IS a big pen. sheesh I'd have 50 chickens and 5 roos in there, LOL but I always crowd them so dont listen to me.

i just dont want them pack inthere my wife said it was to big i only got $20 in matierals $28 in my chick cant complain i wanten to add on already
