Hi I am brand new to BYC and to chickens too! I got my first two chickens about 2 months ago. A pair of adult Millie Fleurs, LOVE them. I caught the chickenbug and went back and purchased some Old English blue chicks (what the seller called them) another millie fleur chick and some silkie chicks. I seperated the silkies from the old english and millie fleurs and everyone had been doing great!!!
The Old English and Millie Fleurs come runing when they hear me and try to fly in my arms.
Yes I am attached to my new found feathered friends.
This past weekend I noticed one of the blue hen chicks was walking very strangely
so I went searching on the internet for some info and that is how I found BYC.. I have done some of the suggestions and as of now she is still with me but not sure if she will pull through. Everyone else so far is fine.
I just wanted to say THANK YOU for this forum and all the people who have taken the time to post their experince...please keep your fingers crossed she makes it.
