Newbie chickens and ducks

Hey there! New to chickens and ducks. We got ducklings April 26, 2021, and four adult chickens a few days earlier. Right now one of our Pekins seems to be suffering from niacin deficiency. This past Friday she couldn’t stand at all. She does well I’m the pool but still can’t support her own weight. We’ve started adding crushed up niacin to her water. Will it help? Or is it too late? She’s really a sweet little ducky

Sorry to hear your duck isn't doing well, I would be adding the Niacin to all their feed and not water. The dry Niacin will stick better to their feed if you wet their feed a bit before sprinkling it on top.

There is a sticky on Niacin deficiency in the Ducks section of this Forum that will explain things much better for you. Best of luck and please keep us posted.

How fat is your duckling? Sometimes it's not a niacin deficiancy and the ducklings needs more exercise. Sure it's not a drakelette?
