Welcome to the wonderful and entertaining world of chickens.
The first egg is so eggciting! We have so many eggs now that our son sells them, that is when ever I'm not taking them to put in the Gopher-bator!

Hi neighbors,
We live in SE Portland. And you would not believe the many back yard coops in my neighborhood. Including mine, we have 6 in my block alone! Of course, we each only have 3 chickens, except for the risk-taker down the street with 5!

My DH and I had never built anything, at all, before we built this run -- I don't really count the coop as "building", we really just converted a kit. We had so much fun. I can see how continually expanding would be come an addiction. Thankfully, not an option in our neck of the woods.
