loss of scales at the point where the back of the board hits the legs,
cuts and broken skin where the scales have been lost
i have had a couple of hens with fractured/broken knees from pressure on the joint
I have also had some just go lame for the same reason
toe joints sprained because their toes are naturally slightly curled and they have to hold them out straight for long periods of time while they are roosting.
I have also had houses where hens have been offered natural tree branches, rounded off 2x2s and 2x4s and most went for the natural branch roosts and the rest the 2x2.
