Newbie from Arizona

Hello fellow chicken enthusiasts! As a kid I had sweet bantams. When I graduated and headed from Northern Idaho to Arizona, where I 'grew up' (well, maybe not mentally!) and I found I sort of missed their silly antics and fresh eggs. So here I am, at our funny farm in southern Arizona with two and 1/4 horses, two dogs, and cat that THINKS he's a dog, and now 4 beautiful hens! My daughter and I are totally lovin' having our funny little chooks with their very individual personalities running around the 7 acres. Toodle is a 4mo. old gold sex link (she just laid her first little egg yesterday), Pip is 4 mo old barred rock, Lavender is 2 mo old silver laced wyandotte, and Marigold is 2 mo old americana. I have been lurking as a guest for a few months now, and decided its time to join, so, officially, HELLO to all of you!

Welcome to the flock - I'd love to know the 2 1/4 horse breeds you have. Pictures of the 1/4 would be welcome. Or does that mean it's a "quarter horse."
