Sounds like you are off and running. Our Corgi is not good with chickens but he wants so bad to be good for us. We cannot let him near them, he shakes and salivates. So far harmless, but given the chance, well he won't get one. Enjoy!
The girls are still skittish in their new home. They turn their backs on me and huddle in the corner. Doesn't sound right. I even gave them scratch today and still I get the cold treatment.
Our Sidney dog whined like crazy today. She sat by the back slider and watched them in their pen across the yard. After much coaxing, doggie finally came outside with me. We walked to the coop and she just whined and whined. Poor baby. She doesn't want to get scolded again.
They were quiet as mice all day until a neighbor's dog started barking at the UPS man, then our Sidney started barking and running to the fence at the other dog. Then, it was chaos for the girls with a barking dog running in the yard
Tonight they are up on a roost in their coop which makes me feel better because last night they were huddled in the corner on the ground when I checked on them. The plans didn't say to round the edges of the roost, should I? Arizona is usually warm; but the last few days it's like January brr with highs of 60 degrees and low expected of 38 tonight! Hope they'll be ok.
