Hello I am new here! Prepping for my chicks coming in June! I am very excited but very nervous. I am creating my coop and run from scratch and could use any advice. I also have two huskies and I am not sure how they will interact with the chickens. I am in J-town right outside of Louisville. any advice is appreciated!!!

Be very careful with dogs and chickens. Many dogs will always see chickens as dinner. There are several threads in the archives about training dogs and chickens. Here is a link to a page with several threads on keeping dogs and chickens together..

great to have you joining the BYC flock

You might want to reinforce the fencing around the coop to keep
the dogs out of the coop and try to keep the coop well sealed up
down to a 1/2" inch just to keep the predators out .......
