Newbie from Ohio, soon to be transplanted to Virginia

Hello and welcome to BYC! Glad you joined.
What a great story! Good for you that you have such a wonderful new home waiting for you.

It really is the place of my dreams. A 1897 farmhouse, redone completely in 2007 from the studs out. 3 acres, 1/2 wooded, plenty of room for a garden and the girls, with lots of wildlife (more deer than anything else) around.. and a stocked trout stream that runs the length of the back of the property. I really lucked into it.

Thank you! Sometimes, changes just need to happen... I definitely fought the good fight. I know I did everything I could. Unfortunately, I just couldn't compete with his addictions, and finally had to draw the line. So now I'm the one who gets to have an addiction.... to chickens!!

I can't wait! I have to check myself sometimes so as I don't go overboard on plans for the place... otherwise I spend most of my vacations working on projects. lol

Good practice because your retirement will be spent working on projects. I don't know how I ever managed to have time to go to work.
