How long does it take for a duck egg to hatch?
can no one tell me the answer to this simple question?
Maybe the Librarian has been on her coffee break.
Quote:28 days. There is the simple answer.
What breed of duck? My muscovy eggs take about 35 days.
Here are our ducks. The white one in the front is a Drake the two brown ones in the back are hens. The white one is still a baby he is not the dad. I just bought these tow at an auction on Tuesday and the next day we had the egg that you see in the pic. I have a chicken hen that went broody and I put the egg under her. Do you have any idea what kind of ducks I have? I don't. Thanks for your help.
It's hard to tell from the picture, but the one in the back looks like a Rouen. The other one looks like a saxony or some sort of Rouen cross.
I have rouens and mine tend not to be broody. They lay eggs daily and mine have all been fertile, bug I had to put them under a different duck because my Rouen hens weren't interested in sitting.
